Hermetic Doors

Our professional Hermetic Sliding Door offers the highest level protection in one door.

Hermetic DoorIt is suitable for hospitals, operating theatres, pharmaceutical manufacturers, micro-electrical plants, food processing and other environments that need to be hygienically clean and air tight.

It is not only secure, but also offers sound insulation and heat preservation. It can also protect against anti-differential air pressure, fire, dust and radiation.

The hermetic sliding door bodies are available in three colours: blue, white or grey.

Maintenance-free Drive

Our modular Hermetic Sliding Door operator has a maintenance-free drive mechanism that is powered by a DC permanent magnet engine, using a Phillips control chip. This engine ensures steady operation and an effective and powerful drive force.

UPS Backup

A large capacity UPS backup battery system ensures the door will continue to operate for at least 30 minutes following a power failure.

The electro-mechanical lock uses a ‘closed loop check’ to ensure safety and has a bi-stability control that shortens the electrification time. This not only saves you energy but means it can be used for prolonged periods.

Integrated Control and Inspection Panel

A unique PSA control unit combines user settings with inspection requirements making it quick and easy to use. The unit can be placed up to 50 metres from the door itself and displays:

  • Performance Functions
  • Settings Performance
  • Malfunction Indicators

Hermetically Sealed Doors - Two Levels of Protection

We can offer you one of two hermetic sliding door builds:

Standard – A stainless steel framework covering a high density panel, this is further protected by a fireproof panel made of urethane foam.

Protective – A stainless steel framework covering a lead foil density panel, this is further protected by a fireproof panel made of urethane foam. This door is primarily designed for X-Ray environments.

Both build types guarantee a hermetic seal as the rubber around the door body uses our special auto-pressure technology to ensure that the closed door meets precisely with the door’s frame.

Naturally, all of the materials used for the hermetic sliding door body comply with UK hospital hygiene regulations.

The doors’ observation windows are made of double-layered, single reflected hollow glass. If required, one-way glass can be installed for added privacy.

A Choice of Door Activation Methods

The hermetic sliding doors can be activated by any of the following mechanisms:

  • Detection sensor
  • Foot switch
  • Door button
  • Fingerprint biometrics
  • Remote control (such as CCTV or intercom)
  • Access control systems (such as ID badges or Key fobs)
