Solar Photovoltaic Microgeneration Systems for Business and Consumers

Solar PV

Cameron Barclay Consultancy provides specialist consultancy, supply and installation services for Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) Microgeneration systems.

Make money from Solar energy. Let Cameron Barclay install your solar photovoltaic system and associated technologies. We make sure you or your business earns revenue from the Government's electricity feed-in tariffs (FITs).

Cameron Barclay’s work in Solar PV over the past 18 months has been focusing on the commercial sector but our operations now extend to the private home owner sector – this sector benefits from the experience and expertise necessary to deliver high end commercial systems.  We can give advice on all aspects of installing Solar Photovoltaic technologies and the Governments Feed in Tariff (FiT) scheme.

Guaranteed Quality

Cameron Barclay holds accreditation from the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and is a member of the REAL Assurance Scheme.  These guarantees ensure that you'll benefit from rigorous and tested standards, with the highest standard and quality of installation.

Government FIT Scheme

We can advise you on the very latest technologies and show how you can benefit from the Government's Feed-In Tariff (FIT) which started in April 2010 and pays you for ALL of the energy you generate, whether you use it or not! The scheme guarantees an index-linked payment to you over a 25-year period and will typically double your investment.

Save Money, Save the Planet

Aside from the clear financial advantages of installing Solar PV, there is a significant benefit for both the environment and you in reducing your organisation's carbon footprint. For example, each kWh you generate will save approximately 0.5Kg of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) so a system generating 50MWh per annum will save about 25 Tonnes of CO2 every year.

Our Expertise at Your Service

We focus on medium-to-large commercial installations and together with our specialist roofing partner have all the necessary credentials, including Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and NICEIC accreditation.

Generating Energy and Income

One of our recent projects was for a major supermarket chain. It involved the roof mounting of three hundred 225Wp Solar PV arrays giving a combined peak DC generation of 67.5kWp. This system is capable of generating approximately 57 Megawatt hours of power per annum and saving 30 Tonnes of CO2 annually. In this case the arrays fed into 12 identical Fronius single phase inverters mounted on a custom frame within the Client's plant room. These in turn fed into the three phase electrical distribution network via our custom-built AC Panel with energy monitoring and G59/2 protection circuitry.

On Hand from Start to Finish

Cameron Barclay manages the whole installation process from initial consultancy through to grid connection and G83/1 and G59/2 testing and commissioning. In the case of G59/2 will also handle the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) application process.
