Electrical Installation Testing and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

Electrical Testing

Your insurer will probably require you to undertake a regular inspection of your electrical installation.

Your own Fire Risk Assessment, which is mandatory under Health and Safety legislation, will probably require this also.

The inspection (typically being carried out every five years) looks at the electrical integrity and safety of your fixed electrical installation, i.e. anything electrical that is not classed as a portable electrical appliance within your workplace, and this of course has to be carried out by a suitably qualified and certified organisation/person.

Cameron Barclay are NICEIC Accredited by the National Inspection Council and are qualified to carry out the inspection of and to certify your electrical installation to satisfy this requirement.

We are also able to undertake regular (typically annual) Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) – this inspect and test process is designed to check the electrical integrity of portable electrical equipment.
