The Brief – Merge Two Buildings
ValueClick acquired additional accommodation comprising two floors in an adjoining building. At the end of the planning and tender process, Cameron Barclay was awarded a tightly-budgeted contract to merge the two buildings and create a single workplace.
The project required the refurbishment of floors, walls and ceilings and the creation of meeting rooms and offices. It also necessitated the construction of a new, additional, server room that needed to be connected to the existing room by fibre-optic cable.
The whole building was rewired and networked and the final decoration involved reflecting the brand image of the five companies that make up the ValueClick Group. Glass partitioned meeting rooms, a break-out area with new kitchen, and a reception area. To complete the project, Cameron Barclay provided all of the office furnishings.
The work was completed in six weeks. During the renovations the business traded as usual.
