Syngenta - Jealott's Hill

Syngenta is one of the world's leading companies with more than 24,000 employees in over 90 countries dedicated to the purpose: “Bringing plant potential to life. Through world-class science, global reach and commitment to our customers we help to increase crop productivity, protect the environment and improve health and quality of life.”
iZones
Cameron Barclay Consultancy Ltd. were commissioned by Syngenta to transform part of their laboratory building into interactive meeting areas called iZones. The five iZones are a distinct departure from the stark magnolia walls of the laboratory environment.
The design is innovative, very practical and was evolved with interactive user sessions ensuring that they are completely functional as well as inspiring.
Innovation by design
Cameron Barclay’s challenge was to take a top level design and turn it into reality within a very short timescale.
The project was challenging with a high proportion of bespoke joinery and extensive use of specialist materials from Parapan doors and cladding to LED lighting and ‘stretch’ ceilings.
Syngenta on Cameron Barclay
“Cameron Barclay Consultancy were chosen by Syngenta for this £1.8M project because we believed that they had the skills and expertise to deliver a high quality product within the very tight time scales demanded.
We expected, because of the design and the challenges of working within a live laboratory environment, for this project to be very challenging to the Contractor and I am delighted to say that they rose to that challenge and we are all delighted with the end result.”
Paul H Thompson, Head of Projects – Jealott’s Hill transformation team.
